You are correct -- as always -- that it's not the "thickness", as such, but the overall proportions of the case. These Carreras are smaller across-the-dial and lug-to-lug, than the Autavias, but seem to have about the same thickness, from case-back to top of crystal. Still, I enjoyed the Zodiac very much, and also enjoy the 1158 and a couple of other 1153s that I have, so maybe I need to give them more wrist time. Maybe the statement should have been that I'm happy owning three our four of them, but will not be an avid collector.
The variety of colors and looks is good fun . . . more variety there than the Autavias or Monacos!!

: Huh? They are about as thin as Cal 11/12 watches get! And curved to
: hide some of that necessary thickness too.
: So I can't really see what you're getting at Jeff... unless, of
: course, you are being disproportionately thick? ;)
