I feel that I should bring this to everyone's attention, I purchased a watch from a fellow OTD regular/collector last year and had it sent straight off for refinish and some work, upon receiving photos of the watch when it landed There with a hand off and not in as good shape that it was advertisted as! I went back to the seller asking for some help towards the work but no joy there. (The pictures of the movement looked correct to me as it had the correct bridge and the chap doing the work thought i had known the movement was not correct)I carried on with it and later traded it last year! The watch recently needed a repair and went to a well known specialist in the UK, only to be told the movement was incorrect with a correct bridge on it. The current owner is upset as am I and at no point was this told to me in the sellers description. The current owner has sourced the correct movement at great expense! I would pay the lions share and went back to the original seller to ask for either a refund for the watch or a contribution towards the new movement. Bet you can guess the answer, NO and i was very disappointed with his reply, saying that after 8 months, 1 year, 2 years how long could this go on for and I sympathise with that, but I had been sold a piece in good faith that was not correct! My point being here that we all do business on trust with Good Guys with reputations, but how can this be right?

It's not so much the financial implications but the lack of decency from a regular on here who calls himself a fellow enthusiast/Heuerista ! My passion for horolgoy has taken a bit of a knock as with the current owner of this piece..(a good guy)
In heinsight I should have returned the watch from the start, but heinsight is a wonderful thing...Be careful out there not all is what it seems! I won't name and shame as this would not achieve anything, but please be vigilant as they are among us..
