I was lucky enough to be invited to the event Tag put on for the Carrera's 50th anniversary in NYC a couple weeks ago. They had a nice display of vintage Carreras (Heuer and Porsche), and it was great to hear Jack speak about the origins of the watch and to meet him. I don't have a Carrera now, so I wore my Monaco 1533G. Jack seemed to get a kick out of seeing it, grabbing my wrist to get a closer look, so now we know the 1533 is Jack Heuer approved :-)
This was the first time I've seen a Carrera "in the flesh" (I'm mostly an Autavia guy) and now I'm dying to get one.
