Thanks to the Seller, for honoring the original deal and also for posting your message here.
Whatever money you may have "left on the table" is a good investment in your reputation, and you will certainly have the support of this community in your future endeavors. Plus there is the karma!!
Truly awful that others would attempt to interfere with the original transaction. "Tortious interference" is actionable here in the US of A, and people in the watch world should not let their greed overcome what they know to be basic ethical rules.

: Hey Gang...I am the seller of the piece. The counteroffer sent my
: way was just one of several this morning. I just got another at
: an even higher mark. Indeed, I did shoddy research and confused
: the model for another. And yes, I am kicking myself a little.
: But I buy and sell very actively on the watch forums and would
: never back out of a deal once committed. I did offer the quick
: profit to the buyer, but his deal was never in jeopardy. Indeed,
: it is now en route to its new owner.
: Reputation is everything when selling on the forums. My mistake may
: have cost me a few bucks, but I made a very fair profit on the
: piece, kept my rep intact, and the new owner got a great deal on
: a special piece. It is a win for all concerned. :D
: Cool forum btw. Wish I had come here before selling! ;)
