Good thought, James. I am lucky enough to have turned my passion for the hobby into my full time gig. That said, I am still as much watch geek as anyone. Believe me, it stings that I did a shoddy job researching the market before listing this watch. But from the second I got it, I knew I would be sending out a cornerstone for someone's collection. I could not afford to keep it for myself, but I was, and still am, glad to have saved this one and send her back into the world. I hope the buyer gets years of joy from it. Now if it gets flipped next week for twice the price, THAT will sting! ;)
But you are so right. At the end of it, I made a good profit and an enthusiast is giddy with watch joy. And along the way, I got to handle and wear one heckuva fine, historical timepiece.
What the watch sold for unless you are the buyer or seller??, good
: luck to both I'd say, i believe we all got into this watch
: collecting due to a 'passion' for watches, not the money that
: can/could be made from them. :)
: Hagwe chaps,
: Best,
: James.
