Hi Jeff and thanks for raising an interesting topic.
In fact I was also eyeing some very nice pics of NATO mounted watches and have shortlisted a couple of straps myself on the bay.
I think they are a match made in heaven for military looking (whether or not really assigned) watches that will withstand some beating in their daily "operations".
I am not so sure about how they fit in general on "racing" style watches as most Heuers are.
However the ones you've chosen are so perfectly matched in their colours to the dials that is impossible not to find them perfect.
