: Hi Sandra,
: Hope you are well, sorry for the delay in joining the discussion,
: its been a hectic weekend :)
: You are correct in thinking that doing anything to the FL on the
: right with the radium lume will not improve the dial damage.
: I have to say it looks great as-is, the colour has aged
: wonderfully, i would only suggest a relume on watches when it is
: absolutely necessary, my criteria for that would be blackened
: lume, (which in my opinion never looks good) thankfully neither
: of those two lovely pieces suffer from.
: I'd suggest just living with the dial as-is unless your fear is it
: may deteriorate more over time?, if so then sell it on and keep
: the one on the left.
: Great spot by Mark on the radium as well, i did'nt notice it until
: he pointed it out.
: Sorry i cannot be more helpful, all the best,
: James.
...read your appreciated advice!
You've helped me very much and yes, I'll leave as it is plus I am very averse to change old tritium or radium into luminova as the face of the watch changes dramatically. I've become a bit of a difficult collector regardng this matter, even have some good fights with my husband due to this subject ;))
Certainly Mark is a great help to all of us here in OTD and always willing to offer his good views and thoughts. A true expert! :)
Thanks again and happy to have made a new valued contact here among vintage lovers.
All the very best,
Sandra - PASSION66
