: It tried to imitate the GMT feature for central Europeans - but of course now it only works in the wintertime period.
The majority of European countries move to summer time Fabrizio, so CEST for example is still one hour ahead of BST. Of late, I believe the switchover date has been synchronised for a while too. So the watch would still sustain its utility in summer.
