The entire dial was treated (avoiding the lume material)... I can't really explain how or why it has completely 'removed' the non-faded marks.. but I guess that black is black.. so it all blends into one flat colour. I think that treating just one area wouldn't work, as you'll end up with a patchy appearance.
So far it is holding up perfectly.. if it lasts 5 years, and needs doing again, then I don't think that isn't too bad ! Time will tell, as they say!
If Martini & Sons are using a similar process, then they must know that it 'works' - it may even have a beneficial preserving nature, I don't know!
