: The question is whether I bother to restore the dial or not !
I have rarely seen a chronograph dial in particular that had been restored to a quality that I thought was preferable to an original, albeit tired, dial. Down to individual preference in the end but my vote would be to look out for a replacement dial instead. By the time you find one, you may well have come to terms with the one in the watch already anyway!
