It's so exciting when one catches a break like that, especially when it transforms the look so much. Last year, I found a ref. 1450 bracelet for my Speedmaster Professional at a buy it now price that I just couldn't believe. Nice catch!
: As we all know, a GF for a 60's Carrera is hot property.. they look
: amazing IF you can find one, and then, you have to dig very deep
: to pay for it.
: I 'make do' with a black perforated strap, and it looks great.
: Recently, whilst surfing eBay, I spotted a NOS beads of rice
: Movado bracelet, presumably from the 60's as a 'buy it now'.
: I won't tell you what it cost me, because it will make you cry..
: not because it was so expensive, but because it was so damn
: reasonable! - something that rarely happens these day when it
: comes to vintage watches.
: Anyway, I have just fitted it.. and WOW, like a new watch! I admit
: that my poor old Carrera doesn't get worn much.. I favour bigger
: watches.. but this bracelet really makes it look a lot bigger -
: strange, but honestly true!
: I've just taken a pic.. I'm smitten :0)
