Re: Isn't it also much about photoshop?

Sandra,
Yes, I use photoshop..I'm a designer by trade, so know it like the back of my hand. Some people don't like to admit they use photoshop, but I don't mind saying so.. coz I'm a rubbish photographer - I mean, yes, I can take a decent watch pic, but thats because I take so many, I know what angle etc etc to go for. So, I rely heavily on repetition, and of course photoshop. But still, my camera is a 7MP point n shoot, so any clarity isn't down to photoshop - it's down to the camera.

I will take 10 photos from almost the same angle, just changing the angle very slightly between shots - that way, I can get 1 good pic from a certain angle. Sometimes I'll take 50 pics, and get just 2 good ones.. then I can fiddle around in photoshop.. but I always try to be true to the watch, and not cover up any scratches etc. Every now and then I will take a photo that needs the smallest of contrast adjustment - but that is a rare event. At the end of the day, the photo needs to be pretty clear & sharp to begin with so that it looks even better by photoshopping, if that makes sense.
