Been through the same process...

As have many of the regulars and none come close to that lovely original raised "top hat" profile mate. Some do fit ok, but do not look "right" and it is one of the reasons that I happily pay more for an Autavia that has its original crystal in situ.

It is a shame but I guess we are lucky that for most Heuer there is a decent aftermarket alternative.

Cheers
Rich

: We all know that getting hold of original crystals for these models
: isn't easy.

: I know that James (dreamboat10) has been through every catalogue he
: knows to try to find a good replacement. He was successful, but
: they aren't quite the correct profile.. so I'm wondering if any
: of you out there have found a supplier that do a really good
: replacement.. with a nice sharp 'top hat' edge & vertical
: side profile?

: I find it ludicrous that out of the thousands of aftermarket
: crystals, we can't find a suitable match!!

: Please share your thoughts and findings.
