I found an Autavia big stock of glasses!

Dear friends,
during a visit in a old watchshop I found a big stock of Autavia 1163/73x63 glasses.

Heuer used different glass profile in the plastic Autavia age (2, maybe 3).

I found this profile: on the left, one of my NOS Autavia with his original 2nd series glass and new glass on the right. As you can see, it's the same part...

Another picture of the new glass

In this way, I've no Autavia glass problems for the rest of my life ;-)

: We all know that getting hold of original crystals for these models
: isn't easy.

: I know that James (dreamboat10) has been through every catalogue he
: knows to try to find a good replacement. He was successful, but
: they aren't quite the correct profile.. so I'm wondering if any
: of you out there have found a supplier that do a really good
: replacement.. with a nice sharp 'top hat' edge & vertical
: side profile?

: I find it ludicrous that out of the thousands of aftermarket
: crystals, we can't find a suitable match!!

: Please share your thoughts and findings.
