I think this one fits today’s theme quite well. I have seen one example of the Yachting Carrera before so it’s not a new discovery however the patina of the dial is unique. It started life with the standard metallic silver starburst finish but over time and I assume many hours in a hot and humid climate, it has turned to a deep shade of copper.
It is a remarkable watch and one that certainly has no equal in my collection. Tropical dials are not everyone’s cup of tea but there is an inherent beauty in the consistency and the gamut of shades that the metallic surface throws out. The contrast with the blue markers is the cherry on top. Who could not love this 30mm diameter disc of beauty.
Regards to all
