Re: Tachymeter Bezel => More Confusion re "Derek "Bell" Auta

Hello,

interesting post. As Derek Bell is wearing the Rothmans overall, this picture seems to be from the late 70s early 80s. To be absolutely sure about his watch we should search for earlier pictures from his time in formula 1 and 2.

But I think the Tachy bezel itself isn't a sign for early or later executions. They are easy to swap and the bezel also existed on the 1163T in the late 60s. In addition to it as a racing driver it makes more sense to have a T bezel equiped.

Does someone have a larger scan of this one?

But we know, that Derek Bell had more than one Autavia:

: Clear from this photo that Derek Bell's Autavia has a Tachymeter
: bezel . . . So much for the idea that the "Derek Bell"
: Autavia is one of the earlier MH models.
