Caliber 11 & 12 Vs. El Primero

I've heard a great deal about the Zenith El Primero movement. Many on this board appear to feel it is the best movement. Is it superior to the Caliber 11 and 12 microrotors that were put in many of the 1970's Carrera models? If so, where do the caliber 12's rank?
