I know you've been waxing lyrical about this watch for a few weeks.. but I didn't realise it was such a rarity, not being a Carrera expert.
Buying it and them offering it to the TAG Heuer Museum is a great thing to do, you should be applauded. Seems to me that the Heuer collectors really do have a honest and generous brotherhood, where this kind of action and reporting is solely for the pleasure, and not for tring to make a quick buck, like is so often seen in the watch world.
Just to add to proceedings, I know it's not quite as rare, but here is my one and only 60's Carrera, it's Valjoux 92 brother.. the 3647NT.. such a pleasure to wear in this (rare British) Summer heat, being a nice lightweight option.
