Thinking along those lines, I had a meeting finish early in London today and so I nipped over to Greenwich and spent a good couple of hours at the 'Visions of the Universe' exhibition at the National Maritime Museum:

'Awesome' is a much-overused word these days, but it's fully deserving and I thoroughly recommend it to everyone. There's a very wide range of astronomy and space-exploration associated images and video, taken in some cases by amateurs: I was lucky to be followed in by a small group of university students being shown round by an astronomy post-doc. I tagged along with them for half an hour, and that really brought the whole exhibition to life.

(I only noted one remotely watch-related image - Armstrong, Collins and Aldrin examining a roll of Hasselblad film from the mission, with the latter wearing an SMP).

It's really easy to get there from central London (from Bank on the DLR to Cutty Sark station, then 5' walk).
