I love the smaller chronographs of the 40's 50's and 60's but, having relatively big wrists myself they usually look a bit odd on me. Maybe they just look odd in the context of today's massive watches...but they look odd just the same. I tried wearing my '64 Carrera for a while but just like my early UG AeroCompax it just didn't feel right. I can wear the '60s Speedmasters and feel normal but the first watches in the chronology of my collection that feel perfect are the early '70s Zenith ELP Chronos and the Autavia GMT.

I guess it is all about what suits.
