This one is a genuine Heuer. There was two different up/down Heuer chronographs. The earliest one is from the early 1940s and has a unsigned Venus 170 movement. The Heuer logo on the dial is placed bellow the upper register and is of the early narrow type. The latest up/down chronograph, the ome you have, has a Ed. Heuer signed Valjoux 77. The Heuer logo is of later normal sized type and is placed inside the upper register. This watcj I belive is from the 1950s. Most of them is gold plated like yours.
