Need help with a Heuer 844 question *PIC INCLUDED* *PIC*

Good morning all,

I recently purchased what I think (hope) is an original Heuer/Monnin 844. All I have at this point are a few photos, but should receive the actual watch sometime later this week. I've attached the best photo the seller had (from ebay). The watch was listed as a vintage Heuer Diver - not a 844 - but from my cursory glance of the item photos, it looked to actually be an authentic 844 with correct dial numbering, period cathedral hands, rudimentary 844 stamping on the case back, etc, so I took a chance on it thinking perhaps the owner wasn't completely aware of what he had. In any event, once I won the auction, I was taking a closer look at the photos and noticed that "MADE IN FRANCE" was not printed anywhere on the dial. Can anyone with more knowledge of this model, which was essentially a prototype from what I understand, please take a look and let me know their thoughts? I hope I did not just waste my money on redial or fake...
