Hi Johan,
Thanks for the reply. It is an aftermarket bracelet. The thing that concerns me is that in every other photo I've seen of an authentic Monnin 844, the "MADE IN FRANCE" is actually stamped above/inside the minute markers...so even from that angle of the photo, if that stamp were there, it should certainly be visible in that photo. Does that make sense? I've included a photo of a different known authentic 844 below for reference. Do you see what I mean? Could it be that since these were essentially prototype watches, there may have been different "versions" of the original dial produced - such as one WITH the "MADE IN FRANCE" stamp, and one without?
