Apologies for any typos, I'm on my phone..
On the whole, I agree that it cam be like getting blood from a stone when dealing with some dealers. Information is only offered when a direct specific question is asked. I wouldn't apply that as a sweeping statement about all dealers though. The majority of my collection was bought from individuals, so my actual 'dealer dealings' are rare. Yes, sometimes the finer descriptive points of a watch may be wrong, but as long as the watch is correct, I wouldn't try to correct a seller if it won't affect the sale.
Dealing with people within the 'OTD family' is a different kettle of fish, and every watch I've bought or sold to fellow Heuristas has been a pleasure. Maybe what we have within our little community is quite special, and we don't realise it.
