Re: now my sister wants Heuer: what to give her?

I bought a 980.015 diver for my wife, who really doesn't care much about wristwatches at all, and she really likes it. As far as I know, the lady divers were mostly quartz, but some automatics existed early on as Ref. 756.

For far more detail than I could ever hope to provide, take a look at this table: http://onthedash.com/docs/DiveWatchRefTable.html

Best,
Jay

: Hi Guys and CdF'ers,

: I sent my sister in NYC a few photos of our life time event in
: Chaux de Fonds. Many of you know my story about the Monaco and
: Autavia which have been in our family since my father bought
: them in 1965 and 1971.
: I, as a boy played with them later when he allowed to use them
: while I played with my Scalextric track in the early seventies,
: timing the lap times.

: Much later, I was only able to get those two watches back from the
: greedy hands of my father's second wife, shortly after he died
: 13 years ago. She succeeded in convincing the notary to have his
: will changed 3 days before he deceased and we ( i and my two
: sisters) lost all the stuff from our parental home to her.
: Except... for the 1133B Monaco and Autavia 2446 which she just
: hated.

: Anyhow, when my sister saw some of the photos of the visit today,
: she really feels that she wants to have a vintage heuer and I
: have to make a recommendation, resp want to give here one as a
: present. Of course it has to be vintage. The only thing I can
: think of is a lady diver. So, are they there in Quartz only? Or
: also with a mech movement? Anyhow what would you recommend to
: buy her? Also a nice mechanical Carrera could be an option,
: considering that ladies watches have grown in size tha past few
: years.

: Your opinions and suggestions are much appreciated chaps!

: Cheers
: Ron
