It feels GREAT

: I've always had a thing for the 2447D which, of course, makes me
: also look at the CS3110. The questions is does the CS3110 have
: more of the feel of the vintage watches or does it have more of
: a modern feel to it? I bought an Autavia CY2111 to complement my
: Siffert but it just didn't feel right (to me, results may vary).
: The CS 3110s just seem like such a great deal and I'm wondering
: if that's just the current market undervaluation or a reflection
: on the watch itself.

Hi Rick, I've owned it for about 10 years, my first Heuer. It is a magnificent watch, very consistent to the original in its look&feel. The plus of course is that it is a modern watch, with the advantage of broader spares availability and intrinsic reliability.
It is really very close to the original 2447 V72-based one, which sadly I do not own but have tried a number of times.
Manual winding, same dimensions - to me at least, this is the blueprint of how all re-editions should be.
Personally I do think it is much undervalued, and had I not one already, it'd surely be no. 1 on my list. My best friend is currently looking for a nice, retro/vintage- flavoured watch with a racing connection and this was my first and only suggestion thinking about the value for money and relative easiness of maintenance.
Cheers
Fabrizio
