We try to host quarterly editions of “Chuck's Flea Market” (or “CFM”), to give members of our community an opportunity to sell some watches / buy some watches. During Chuck's Flea Market, we allow buying, selling and trading on this discussion forum. Of course, you can always buy and sell watches on ChronoTrader, but bringing the Flea Market to the discussion forum usually brings out some additional buyers and sellers, and we have seen some amazing watches offered in previous Flea Markets.
We'll hold the Flea Market from Thursday, October 3 through Sunday, October 6. We are not too strict about the start and finish dates, so you can feel free to list your watches (or your wishes) a little before or a little after, if more convenient for you.
“Chuck’s Flea Market” was the creation of one of our founding members, Chuck Maddox, who passed away in May 2008. The idea is that at the end of each calendar quarter, we open our discussion forum so that our contributors can post listings to buy and sell watches. You can feel free to:
These Flea Markets have been a very successful outlet for many of our contributors; they are a good way for our chronographs to find new homes (within the "family") and a good way for our readers to show how their collections may be shifting (specifically, telling other readers about the watches they are seeking to buy and sell). There are never any fees or charges, and you deal directly with your counterparty.
So you have a few days to get out the watches that you are not wearing, take some great photos, and let’s see some interesting watches for sale, starting Thursday, October 3rd.
