Frank:
You asked whether Heuer ever produced a Carrera in a Camaro style case. The answer is a simple one -- NO. Someone has used a Carrera dial in a Camaro case, but that "someone" was not Heuer.
Jeff
: Hello all! I'm from Germany so please excuse my
: bad english.
: When I started to get interested in mechanical
: watches just half year ago I saw a Camaro on
: ebay.
: I like the style of the watch so much
: (specially the case) but the price was too
: high for me (about 800 $). Two weeks later I
: found a watch on a other auction-platform
: that seems to have the same case like a
: camaro. I bought it for 190.- Euros. Its a
: BWC (Buttes watch company) and
: "bingo" this watch have the same
: case as a camaro. (see picture) I'm very
: happy with that watch.
: A few weeks later I found EXACTLY the same
: watch at "joseph-watches.com", but
: with a white dial. But it's not a BWC, its a
: Heuer-Carrera!?!? Have a look at the link.
: The numbers on the back of the case are
: identical with the my BWC. This watch was
: sold for 1350 $!!
: So now i'm confused.
: Is that "Camarerra" on
: Joseph-watches.com a fake? Whats the story
: with the Heuer Camaros? It seems that the
: case wasnt produced exclusice for Heuer. I
: saw 2 or 3 other watches on ebay with that
: case, all no Heuers.
: What you all think?
: Many thanks: Frank
