I am enjoying this interesting Heuer stopwatch in a Carrera case. It looks all original and correct to me. It came from a UK estate where the person had worked for Ford and been involved in the racing world. There was apparently a lot of memorabilia at the estate sale including stopwatches engraved Ford on the back.
This one has 7753 engraved on one side and 1063XX on the other side. It came in the original box, which says: "3647" and then underneath it "new ref 7753" with a big "N" next to that. Perhaps it was something Heuer just had on hand. The movement certainly sounds like a 773X movement (likely 7730). It looks like one could add hour and minute hands to it, although that would of course affect the originality of the piece.
The dial is sublime. The numbers are raised and the dial certainly looks like it was made by Singer.
The watch is in mint, mint condition and my guess is that the Tropic band is original to the watch.
What is so interesting about this one is that it is a definite precursor to the current TAG Heuer Carreras with the 0-60 dials, such as the new Flyback Carreras with Calibre 36 (El Primero) movements.
