Autavia 1163 GMT 1st exec. - the first version has the modified Cal.11 movement and a 1-24 bezel. I really like some of the cross over elements that tie this watch to the manual wind 2446C models. The most obvious styling cues are in that 1-24 bezel and the arrow tipped GMT hand. This particular watch has started to go chocolate on the dial (although i have struggled to capture the effect in photo's). This watch is a keeper , no doubt about it !!!!!! I use this one on a variety of James' DB10 straps and its always a hit.

Monaco 1133 Transitional - there has been much forum chat in the past of the amazing variety of colours offered up by the dial. I love to roll the wrist and see this watch "dance in the light". The stainless hands relate very directly to the dials hour markers. When you look at this model in closer detail you get the feeling that this is how the designers intended the watch to look and the change to the later matt dial and the viceroy type hands have been bought about by the requirements of the production process or costs. This is the no compromise version of the Monaco !! I wear the Monaco on the type 1 bracelet as thats what it came on but i must admit i prefer Monaco's on a strap, leather or corfam.

Autavia 2446 1st exec. with Dauphine Hands, Full Lume version - i have persued these early big eye Autavia's over the years as i'm crazy about the style. Large white registers , dauphine hands and a quality Valj.72 movement make this a watch with pedigree. I truely think of this as the Heuer's direct answer to the Rolex Daytona. The fact that this watch is the rarer and earlier full lume hand model is just a bonus as i'm crazy for the entire series. The style and feel of these screw back Autavia's probably make them my number 1. choice of watch. I have considered changing my forum name to "Darren Valj.72" to reflect my love for them ;-)
Cheers - Darren
