I'm glad to see another Panerai here! I also wear my Panerai as my go-to watch. I do not yet have a sandwich dial and I agree they look much more cool. Mine is a bit less common Arabic numbered PAM164. It's the only 1 that I can put in my 3 because it was a special gift from my wife. I do have 2 other special watches with some sentimental attachment. But I can't say I would never part with them. The Breitling is too small for my tastes so my wife wears it. The Siffert is not home yet.
I am like James - not really a collector. I'm a wannabe collector who is always reading about watches but I only have a few.
Sorry about recycling old pics, been out of town this week. I wear the Panerai on brown alligator usually. The Siffert is a new pic, but not my pic, I hope Craig won't mind me posting it. Can't wait to wear it!
: 3) Panerai 176
: The third was a tough call, but this has made the final place on
: several factors, it's simple- tells the time and that's it, I
: like that about it. The sandwich dial is far far better than
: painted indices on the Panerai's. It is quite a big chunky bit
: of kit that I am quite happy to use for just about anything, the
: Rolex is special occasions only, the Heuer I pick and choose
: when I wear that more, but the Panerai is probably my go to
: watch for general wear or messing around with the kids, it takes
: a few knocks and scratches,but that's ok, it's been around a
: while.
