If you haven't read through all the '3 desert island watches' threads yet, there is an unexpected candidate that has been nominated 3 times.. and it's a TAG Heuer.
We know little about how the model came to be built, but I have a strong feeling that the ball got rolling prior to TAG buying Heuer - indeed, they even features a Heuer crown! Either way, myself, James and Nathan have put it in out top 3. I'll have to admit that it was a close call.. but surely a tool dive watch is needed on OTD's Desert Island !!
Anyway, I decided to whip the camera out and try to capture the watch, as it's turned-down lugs makes it difficult to capture in a photo. I'm not sure I managed it.. but some half-decent shots worked out.. I thought I'd share.. (yes my date disc needs adjusting!!).. also I've included James' great photo below, as James installed a black date disc - very cool. (Hope it's ok to use your pic Jimbo?)
James' Spiro, with stealthy black date..
