Hello,
after many years of searching for a mint caliber 88 or 88.6 Heuer watch, I`ve found a very nice unworn Datora Triple Date Moonphase with the very rare Cal. ETA-Valj. 88.6 (21.600a/h) / Y3 (1955) with 18 kt Yellow/Gold plated case with SS case lid. The watch is like new and the best I´ve ever seen in my life. I`ve got the info from the pre-owner, that this watch is "new old stock" which I will believe, since it looks absolutely like new. He told me, that his father bought several watches directly from the factory in Swizerland 50 years ago. Some of them were sold and some he inherent last year.
I`ve played around with the settings and tested the adjustment of the moonphase and all others.
I was very surprised about the fact the the left upper dayindex which is working counterclockwise and is located near the month-indicator which is working clockwise, was not showing the right day after the hour-hand passed the 12. It was not jumping forwards, but backwards. Is there everybody outside who have ever seen a misprinted dayscala-plate. May be this is the reason that this watch was never sold, resp. came back after the customer claimed this problem.
I was not able to find any informations about such an issue. Maybe somebody can help me to find out what`s up with this watch.
Sorry for my bad Englisch. I`m a German.
Best regards
Tom
