It took a while... The 3 I'd keep...

Hello together,

the whole thing about three watches started on twitter at the beginning of the week:

And Abel jumped in very quickly:

After the role call was announced by Jeff a little later, thank you for that, I was thinking a lot about my choice. And finally I made one. But I must admit, that this is just me at the moment. I think taste will change, although I don't know how. Of course my first love in vintage watches will always be Heuer. It started everything for me. And I want to thank one special person, who started it all for me. You know who you are :-)

My choices are:
1. Rolex 1675 GMT 1968 MK1. I think this one doesn't need any explanation. A shame, that it's not a Heuer. It's the most versatile and easy to wear watch that I have ever seen. Built like a tank and good for all purposes. This would also be the one, if had to choose a single watch.

2. It's one of my very first watches and the one that stayed, from these early acquisitions. I bought it at a time, where nobody really took care about this model. I remember, that I was talking with some other Heuer collectors on a watch fair a few years ago. And I had the Skipper on my wrist, while the other were wearing Siffert and GMT. And one of them had a look at the Skipper and told me that this is a nice "kindergarden-Heuer". Well, time has changed at least a little and some appreciate the Skipper today, although I believe it's still flying a little under the radar. For me it's just beautiful and shows everything Heuer means for me. Funky 70s design, automatic, Chronograph, colorful...

3. This one is really just for the moment. I'd like to replace it against an early 2446 with dauphine hands, but that isn't very easy these days ;-) But nonetheless this one is a timeless and very dressy chronograph. I like it a lot!

I had much fun reading all your posts. This was good weekend for OTD, imo.

Kind regards,
Manuel
