Some concerns were mentioned about the waterproofness of Heuer watches. The concern about not exposing the watch to water is mostly unfounded. Heuer tests their time pieces to 100 meter/ 333 feet and are water proof as long as the crown seal and pusher seals are maintained. Over time they can dry out. A drop of syntetic oil on the crown seal and the pushers from time to time can keep the seals in good working order. Keep in mind that these have to be replaced eventually to guarantee the advertised waterproofness. This is all part of regular/periodic maintenance of any time piece.
I have done dives down to 150 feet and there was no sign of water penetration when the watch was serviced, even 3 years later. I wear my watches 24/7 and do not remove them for showering or swimming. They are well designed. If someone wants to dive deeper, say 350- 400 feet, that would require special equipment any way. So, I would not worry if your Heuer gets an occasional splash of water on it.
