They were really nice watches, as far as I can remember the first of the modern (late 90s & onwards) manufacturers to really channel a vintage 70s vibe into a new design, not just a reproduction. I bought the megapode model Marc Newson is wearing in the photo - it's the only new watch I bought in the last 40 years (excepting a few G-shocks for skiing/surfing). The watches never really seemed to capture the imagination of the watch enthusiasts, even as Marc Newson's fame grew. I like it but to be honest I hardly ever wear it - the metal finish is really delicate. Now Bell&Ross and all the big manufacturers do much nicer 70s inspired models, so it is not that interesting. But the Marc Newson connecting is interesting.
