: Wow! That 340 movement seems to be pretty stout. They were used in
: Minerva Rally Timers forever. Everyone has their own
: likes/dislikes but I am prejudiced against A&F sold timers; it's
: hard not to think they were picked up on a whim by "the man
: who has everything" along with a pith helmet and never used
: at all in a car. The lack of A&F markings on the timers is a
: plus for me.
I find this all quite baffling.
1. A similar pair were recently sold on Ebay for around $2400, so why advertise them for $1750?
2. Located in Chicago, but placed on a Belgian Ebaysite.
4. Apparently A&F box which appears too large.
3. Not branded or claimed to be A&F.
5. Which 'Large race organisation?' Would this info add to the value?
The Minerva V340's are (apparently) still available at £850 each NOS.
Maybe one advantage of A&F today is that the 'man with the pith helmet' may not have worn them out.
P.S. I am still looking for
1xAutavia LH Pusher
1x Autavia RH Pusher
1x Hervue or 1x Leonidas clock,
But not at John's Watch prices.
