I was one of them..

I had a cheeky bid. If it wasn't of the fact that I've already got one (not as good condition), I would have bid more than the wining bid - easily.
Why?

I look at it this way.. a run of the mill average condition Rolex Sub will set you back £3k-4k.. this beauty sold for £2.7k ish, in my mind, that's a bargain.
These 3rd exec Autavias are freakin cool.. and tick a lot of boxes. In fact, the more I think about it, the more I regret not going to £3k+.

Plus, the seller is rock solid, being a respected OTDer.

My opinion - I'm not surprised in the slightest - in fact, when you consider what you get for your money, it's pretty damn reasonable.
