I was a bit paranoid when I went to LCdF with 10 pretty rare watches in hand luggage. So I emailed a photo of the watches to myself before I left as proof that I owned them before my trip. Maybe I had my passport in the photo. To be honest it was pretty lame as quite easy to fake (the seller could have sent me the photo, and probably other ways to hack it) but anyway it was my tactic. Didn't get stopped though so was irrelevant.
