My Quick Two Cents -- An Opportunity for an Honest Business

I believe we can all confirm that there are ample opportunities to "lie, cheat and steal" in the world of watches, whether new or used, vintage or modern, buying or selling, etc. There's often treasure in the sock drawer, or in the boot of the old VW, and the owner of the watch may not know what he has.

Not to put words in his mouth, but I believe that Hamilton has discovered that there is such a massive inefficiency in the market for selling watches that you can actually be entirely honest, and still make a decent return on the endeavor. What an eye-opener . . . that there is actually a role for an honest man to make an honest living in this space!!

: Hamilton, Jeff, et al,
: Just to say, I wasn't suggesting that C&C were being underhand.. I
: didn't know how they operated last year, whether it was
: percentage based or a straight deal. I fully understand that
: business is business, and it takes two to tango.. the seller
: should have put in the spade work. AT the end of the day, they
: could have sold that Skippererra at a loss.

: From what I can tell C&C offer a professional and proper service,
: and I wish them, and you Hamilton, well. Public forums and
: businesses rarely go well.. I guess these are the pitfalls of
: being online and open. At least C&C are open, honest and embrace
: the public forums.. which says a lot about their ethos and
: character.
