Carrera Countdown: minty or wabi?

Which one of these would you prefer? They are only separated by around 3,000 difference in serial number, so they came out the factory pretty close to each other. Would you choose the heavily patina'd one or the one that shows a dial as was intended to look when Jack Heuer approved the design?

What if you turned the watches over and you saw one had a so called "polyback" of the earlier Carreras (but not the very earliest)?

What if you then opened the two watches up and checked the movements, to see if the movement was marked Ed Heuer or Heuer Leonidas?

So, which do you prefer?
