Carrera - but a chronograph / Longines / Sinn 556 I
In Response To: Seiko (or Carrera) ()

Hi Jeff, first of all congratulations for your daughter's forthcoming marriage.
But...how come you can't drive your son-in-law into liking chronographs?!
A "true" Carrera would be my choice - a lifetime watch especially if you go for a modern one, say from the 1964 reissue onwards.
If you still have to go for a 3-hand watch as Chuck used to say, then I'd pick a Longines if elegance and pure design are the main criterion, or I'd go for a Sinn Model 556 I if some ruggedness is required.
