Nato for a 1163T 'Siffert'

Hello,

I bought a Nato strap via amazon made by a company called Da Luca. It is too big to fit through the spring bar on my 1163T!!!

Is this uncommon? This is my first Nato experience so I am wondering if others have had issues fitting an 1163T with a Nato strap or if it is my springbars (see pics below). I can force the strap through, but it really has to be pushed through pretty hard. Do people have to really force the straps through on theirs, or do they go in pretty easily?

I also purchased some straps from The NATO Strap Co. but they haven't gotten hear yet to make a comparison.
