What Were They Wearing in the "Bauhaus" Era?

You know, all this focus on "Bauhaus" design / minimalism -- in selecting a watch for our future son-in-law and in reading about the origins of the Carrera -- has left me wondering, what watches were actually made in the Bauhaus era, representing this style? Or would we say that the watches in the Bauhaus style were not made while the Bauhaus existed physically (1919 to 1933), but came later, when the Bauhaus style became more popular, say during the 1940s?

Stated differently, if you wanted to buy a Bauhaus watch, that was made in or soon after the Bauhaus era, what would it be? Stowa? What other brands, from "back in the day"? Don't worry guys, I am not expecting this to become a new theme for my collection, but I am interested in the watches of the Bauhaus era.
