Beyond the crisp minimalism of the arabics and minimalist dial design, the real treat for me here is how the typography for "KANO" is integrated into the line art of the logo graphic. If you study Gropius' (and other) furniture, you can see how simple lines are used to evoke much grander structures. In this instance, the letters in "KANO" seemed to be enveloped in a hangar or warehouse building. Some of the more utilitarian Bauhaus designs--barracks, industrial buildings, dormitories, were extremely beautiful. The logo detail here really captures that.
