Andy:

I have always been a big fan of alternative approaches to selling, so I will be interested to hear how the sale / informal auction process has gone. In this community, with everyone knowing that you know what it's worth, I must imagine that the prospective purchasers will be well-behaved.

It would be fascinating to learn what happens, if someone had said that they found it in a sock drawer, have no idea what it is, and would like to hear some quick offers. I imagine that the offers start in the three figures.

However it ends up, I hope that the community has been a good resource for you, both in terms of offers and psychological support.
