Re: Reluming a vintage Speedmaster
In Response To: Reluming a vintage Speedmaster ()

Hello Stewart,

thank you, first of all - very interesting to read.
I fully agree with Kendall here. Thumb's up!

As I am no artist at all, and not even close to being talented at handcraft, however I had another thought and approach to your interesting story / report :
Growing up in a home with both parents smoking ... and quite a lot ... and later my sister too ... :-/ ...
I do have experience with the effects ... like on wallpaper or curtains, on carpets, pictures, etc.
Now I was thinking ... if we would've been able to save all that 'exhaust' ... We probably could've started a business ...
My folks had produced tons and tons of valuable material ... to be used in the film-industry e.g. or anywhere people need a good re-lume.
You know, Stewart, I think my family, including grandma too, produced enough "re-lume mix material" to repaint or reprint houses, or even cruise-ships .... and then call them
Tartanic.

Tartanic 1, 2, 3 and 4 ;-) haha

Have a MERRY CHRISTMAS,
I wish you good times with family and/or friends, stressless peaceful hours to settle down and let the year pass in your mind.
Enjoy a smoke ;-) ... Have a glass of wine, or a good drink - whatever you prefer. Feel happy.
Thanks for the nice mail-exchanges we had, and for being a great motivation on good photography ... for me as well as for many of us, I'm certain.
But also for that effort shown in your nicely written descriptions of those watches shown in your Heuerville-site. :-)

Cheers,
Health and happiness,
Best regards,

Olaf
