Hello to all,

Following Gianluca'example, I'll try to summarise what was the 2013 highlights for me

1) my favorite watch acquisition of the year

e, I discoverd the fascinating world of stopwatches, chronographs and alike. Afer all, the DNA of the Heuer brand is in this category of time-pieces and it's not totally by chance that our favorite website is called "On the Dash" ! I did acquire several new pieces in 2013 which I enjoy very much and plan to maintain my interest for them along with the wristwatches

It also gave me the opportunity to meet with new contacts and should I say friends and open my interest for other brands which have history as rich as the Heuer's one.

2) the restoration that turned out particularly well

Always the next one I'm waiting from Abel ............

3) the best book of the year

This is not difficult. "The Times of my Life" by Jack Heuer with the draft version signed by the author !

4) new blog or website discovered in 2013

Although, none of the websites I follow are as active as OTD, I have found new very nice contacts by visiting from time to time "http://stopwatches.forum24.se/stopwatches.html" and "http://forums.watchuseek.com/forum.php"

5) a new friend:

Thanks to my recent interest for stopwatches I have been in contact with several new collectors amongst those Stefano from Spain who is a unbelievable source of information and resources. Thank you very much Stefano.

6) a get-together or meeting with other enthusiasts

The 2013 summit in LCDF was without equivalent THE meeting of the year.

I have also very much enjoyed meeting two Italian enthusiasts last November in Italy and discoverd that Paolo share with me the interest for vintage Alfa Romeo !

7) related to a new camera and accessory,

I have indeed discovered the Canon G10 thanks to Laurent. However my skills still need to be improved (. . . a lot).
