David brings up a very important point. Make absolutely sure that whoever does the repair has proper experience with dash timers. We've seen too many ruined by people who don't know how to service them properly or do something "a little extra," like replace the hands or "fix" the face. Don't give it to the corner watchmaker or the least expensive one unless he really knows what he's doing.
