After receiving a Panerai PAM164 for Christmas in 2012, I added 3 watches to my meager collection in 2012.
First was this Armida powered by the ~new Miyota 9015 (I know most of you don't stoop to this level). It keeps excellent time and is a chunk of a watch which I do enjoy wearing. I love that high dome crystal.
In May, my late father's best friend GAVE me this non-running Breitling which Craig worked his magic on.
After telling the Breitling story to some of my motorcycling friends, one of them offered to sell me this old Heuer. It also spent some time with Craig and is now in rotation with the Panerai.
It's hard to say which is my best for 2013, because without that Breitling (which I don't wear as it seems too small to me), I never would've discovered that my friend had the Siffert in a drawer. It was the catalyst to get me even interested in vintage watches. Since then, I have been visiting my favorite forum, OTD, multiple times every day.
Thank you all for your advice, comments and sharing your stories. I hope to meet more of you as I continue to explore this hobby.
My short list of must haves - Zenith El Primero (probably modern), Omega Speedy Pro, something running the Lemania 5100 for exercising, yardwork and kayak fishing ( a beater, maybe a Sinn 156B, Porche Design, etc.).
